• Scope of Work: The ReStore takes donations of used and surplus building supplies, appliances, and other home improvement items for resale at 50-90% below retail prices. The proceeds go toward the construction of Habitat homes. Volunteers will work with ReStore staff collecting and receiving donated materials, pricing and stocking items, assisting customers, and running the cash register.

• Timetable: Volunteers normally work Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, or other hours as needed and arranged. Volunteers may work full day or a half-day shifts or times that are mutually agreeable.

• Location: The ReStore is located at 751 E. Main St., Purcellville, VA 20132 - in the old IGA/Safeway store.   This is short ride out Rt 7 west; exit at Rt 287 Purcellville south and then right on Main St.

• Volunteers must be at least age 16 to operate the cash register or lift heavy items, and at least age 25 to drive the truck. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for every five youth). Every volunteer must complete a Volunteer Information Form and Waiver of Liability.

• Volunteers should plan to arrive fifteen (15) minutes before their shift begins.  Volunteers should check in with the Assistant Store Manager or ReStore Director upon arrival. If a volunteer is unable to work the shift they signed up for, they should call in as far in advance as possible.

• Volunteers are responsible for their own lunch. A break area will be available very soon, and there are several inexpensive places to eat in the immediate area.
