How do I volunteer?

Anyone over 16 can volunteer at the Loudoun ReStore. All 16 & 17 year old’s must be accompanied by an adult chaperone at all times.

What skills are required?

A positive attitude and a willingness to help.

What will I do?

Work at the ReStore includes, but is not limited to: welcoming customers, preparing and staging merchandise, organizing merchandise in the warehouse, cleaning donated merchandise, polishing wood furniture, helping customers load furniture, general store housekeeping, and assisting with special projects.

Wear comfortable clothing and expect to get dirty. Closed toe shoes are a must. Athletic shoes or boots are the best - no ballet slippers, crocs, heels, clogs, sandals, etc. Layers in the wintertime are key, as the store frequently gets chilly due to the doors opening and closing.

How do I dress?

Register for the next Volunteer Orientation. They are offered on select Saturdays from 10 -11 and Tuesdays from 6:30 -7:30. To see what sessions are available and sign up, click here.

How do I start?

Every task a volunteer does replaces the time of paid staff. This means that you are keeping our overhead costs down and allowing us to direct even more of our proceeds to Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. To learn more about Loudoun Habitat for Humanity, you can access the website through this link.

How does my time help Habitat for Humanity?
